I would like a helthfood store in Athens-Greece selling conjugated linoleic acid of Rapunzel.

Response: InterNatural Foods only sells Rapunzel within the United States. To sell Rapunzel is other countries please contact Rapunzel directly at http://www.rapunzel.de/.

Can you freeze the bouillon cubes? Also, how do you transcribe the best by date? LO56526 3509?

Response: I think you should be fine freezing the bouillon cubes. As for the date code, the 3509 represents the date it was produced. 350 is the julian date meaning the 350th day of the year or Dec 16. The 9 represents the year it was made (2009). The product has a two year shelf life so the best by date is Dec 16, 2011.

I am using my first container for the organic cocoa powder. We have been trying to purchase only Fair Trade and were glad to find your product. However, today when I was scooping out a large amount, I found a piece of thin, clear plastic, almost like the piece of a bag. I thought this was rather odd and worth mentioning it to you. Not the most appetizing thing to find in the cocoa. I don't know if it was a packaging issue or what. I hope the information is helpful to prevent it in the future. Thank you.

Response: Thank you for making us aware of this issue. We will let the manufacturer know.

Can you tell me if the "yeast extract" in the Rapunzel bouillon is MSG-free, gluten-free, corn-free, & dairy-free? I currently have the Vegan No Salt Added box, but my coop doesn't always have that one so sometimes I buy one of the others. SO, if there are any other MSG-related, gluten, corn, or dairy products in the other bouillons I need to know that as well.
    Thanks!

P.S. I SO wish the product didn't have yeast extract in it at all . . . why pollute all those other organic ingredients with flavor-enhancing crap?
P.P.S I totally agree with the Grocery Manager who pointed out the problem with the product codes/dates . . . use something more readable by the consumer! Don't ask me to translate the code and then add 730 days! Ridiculous!

Response: Our Bouillons do contain yeast extract which naturally forms MSG during processing. For the vegetable bouillon we use yeast extract, which is produced by an autolytic process and not by acid hydrolysis. The yeast extract we use is not synthetic and all yeast naturally contains glutamate. Moving forward, the product will display a best before date. Please let us know if you have further questions.

My fiance was just diagnosed with Celiac's Disease. We love using your bouillon cubes. Are your bouillon cubes gluten free?

Response: There is no added gluten to our Bouillons however they are processed on the same lines and in the same facility as products containing gluten. We are unable to guarantee that this product is gluten free.

I discovered a box of Rapunzel Bittersweet Chocolate bars long forgotten at the back of my pantry. I purchased these at l,east prior to 2005, when I retired from United Natural Foods. My question is the quality of these chocolate bars after this long time? They are slightly discolored. Can they still be used, in baking, perhaps? The taste is not quite up to par. I hate to throw them away!

Response: The shelf life of the product is 15 months from production. From what I can tell, the product you have has expired and should be discarded.

Hello. I'm allergic to processed free glutamic acid (msg) in ANY form. Is that what the "natural flavors" in your salt-free vegan bouillion are? Thanks.

Please let us know if you have further questions.
